Madison Voet is the 17 year-old daughter of Sheldon and Colleen Voet of Home, KS. Growing up on a farm, Madison was introduced to the cattle industry and began showing Charolais when she was 12 years old. Since then, Madison has attended four AIJCA Junior Nationals and is an active member of the Kansas Junior Charolais Association. She currently serves as Vice-President of the KJCA and encourages younger members to partake in activities for Junior Nationals. The Charolais breed has really helped shape Madison into the person she is today. Madison has met many people across the country and is able to keep good connections with them. Attending AIJCA Junior Nationals is one of Madison’s favorite things to do and looks forward to it every year. Recently graduated from Marysville High School, Madison was an outgoing student being involved with many organizations throughout her high school career. She was an officer for her school’s FFA and FBLA chapters, a 12-sport athlete, Drum Major and officer for band, and volunteered for many community service activities. Not only has Madison been involved in high school organizations but with 4-H as well. Madison has been an active 4-H’er for eleven years and has held every officer position in her 4-H club. She also serves as President of her county’s 4-H Council. Madison is going to attend Kansas State University in the fall of 2018 and plans to major in Agricultural Economics. She hopes to use skills from this major to help advocate for agriculture and the Charolais breed in the future. She plans to raise Charolais cattle as long as she can.
Madison is co-sponsored by Obermeyer Charolais and VFSF Cattle.
