Annaleigh Hobbs is the 18 year-old daughter of David and Mary Jane Hobbs of Overland Park, Kansas. At a young age, she began learning about the beef cattle industry traveling across the nation with her father visiting Charolais breeders and attending shows and sales. Annaleigh has attended ten AIJCA Junior Nationals, and is also an active member of the Missouri Junior Charolais Breeders Association. With the help of her uncle, she has developed a small herd of Charolais-influenced cows focused on producing quality feeder calves. At her high school, Shawnee Mission South, Annaleigh is an honors student and is very involved in the Student Council, where she serves as the 2017-18 Student Body Vice-President. She is also a member of her school's Thespian Troupe, National Honor Society, Swim Team, and Freshman Mentoring Program. She will graduate in May 2018, and then move on to a university where she will pursue degrees in business and communications with a pre-law emphasis. Looking to the future, Annaleigh plans to be a strong advocate for agriculture wherever her future career may lead.
Annaleigh was co-sponsored by Windy Hill Charolais Farms and the Missouri Charolais Breeders Association.
